The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations, the VP - Investor Relations will be focused on the development and implementation of Avolon`s public creditor relations programme. The candidate will assist in managing Avolon`s interactions and relationships with institutional fixed income investors and relevant sell-side analysts. The role will play a central role in establishing Avolon`s position as a sector leading investment grade issuer.

Given the range of topics that are of interest to fixed income investors it will be critical that the candidate has the ability to interact with multiple internal departments to obtain a full appreciation of Avolon`s financial performance, fleet characteristics and corporate strategy, as well as developing a strong understanding of the broader aircraft leasing and capital markets.

Core Duties:
-Develop and manage relationships with key institutional fixed income contacts, sell-side analysts and other market participants;
-Represent Avolon during marketing events, including conference attendance and non-deal roadshows;
-Maintain database of key market contacts;
-Liaise with FP&A, Finance and other internal departments to develop key messages to support Avolon`s public creditor relations programme;
-Report market context and investor feedback to senior management and the organisation;
-Ensure the organisation is updated on the relative value of Avolon`s public debt and relevant market trends;
-Manage the development of materials for, and organise logistics for, quarterly earnings calls and marketing events;
-Support investor interaction associated with public debt issuances;
-Work with media relations company and internal communications team to ensure appropriate public disclosures.

The Person:
-The successful candidate will be market focused, capable of identifying key industry/sector themes, be driven, resourceful and a good relationship builder;
-It will also be important to have an organised approach to account management;
-The candidate must be capable of working across functional teams to gather information and develop key messages on tight timelines. Attention to detail, strong communication skills and experience of interpreting financial statements are also prerequisites;
-A proven track record of developing and delivering simple, consistent messages to business relationships will be important.

Essential Skills and Experience:
-A minimum of 5 years` experience in an aviation leasing, capital markets, finance or fixed income role;
-Commercial acumen and excellent communication skills;
-Professional and personable with the ability to develop business relationships;
-Strong organisational and prioritisation skills;
-Highly numerate with accounting knowledge, thorough with keen attention to detail with an ability to identify critical issues;
-Strong PowerPoint skills.
